Loropetalum chinense - Daruma. Compact Fringe Flower

Loropetalum Daruma - Compact Fringe Flower
Daruma variety of Loropetalum has become popular over the last few years for its compact form. Easily kept to 3' to 4' tall and wide. Landscape applications can be under windows, in the yard as shown above or as a hedge row to name a few. Blooms mainly in Spring then again in Fall. Once established, becomes a low water use plant. During hot spells of Summer, best to give some supplemental irrigation. With more sun, tends to have darker foliage. Prune after flowering to desired shape if needed.
