Quercus macrocarpa x robur 'Clemons' This hybrid with English oak (Quercus robur) is a vigorous grower, unusual for an oak. It has a straight central leader broad with pyramidal growth that becomes an oval tree to 80 feet tall and 50 feet wide. It offers attractive foliage that is dark green, glossy and resistant to mildew and tearing in the wind. Has the ability to withstand wind and ice without breakage, and its extreme winter hardiness. Fall color is yellow.

The Asian citrus psyllid (ACP) is a pest that acts as a carrier or vector spreading "huanglongbing" (HLB), a devastating disease of citrus trees. This bacterial disease is transmitted to healthy trees by the psyllid after it feeds on infected plant tissue.

Loropetalum Daruma - Compact Fringe Flower
Daruma variety of Loropetalum has become popular over the last few years for its compact form. Easily kept to 3' to 4' tall and wide. Landscape applications can be under windows, in the yard as shown above or as a hedge row to name a few. Blooms mainly in Spring then again in Fall. Once established, becomes a low water use plant. During hot spells of Summer, best to give some supplemental irrigation. With more sun, tends to have darker foliage. Prune after flowering to desired shape if needed.
